Hy-Gain LJ-103BA Long John 10 Meter HF Monobander Antennas are three-element beam antennas tuned for maximum forward gain over the entire 10 meter band. The antennas and their "beta match" are factory pre-tuned for maximum performance. 10M Long John elements are made of taper-swaged tubing with a bracket that will fit a 2 in. O.D. mast. The electrical hardware is made from super-strength stainless steel and all element tubing clamps are stainless steel. Hy-Gain Long John 10 Meter HF Monobander Antennas require a choke balun to prevent unbalanced current from flowing down the transmission line and affecting the efficiency and match of the antenna. These 10 meter beams are designed for use with 50 ohm coaxial cable. RG-213/U is recommended for lower losses and full power handling.
